In the Heir To The Gallery story, there are some characters who can do magic, called "magi". One curious feature of these magi is that while they can indeed do magic for anything in reality, there is a particular thing they are adept at: their focus. This page shall serve to denote these different magi.

For each focus, there is also an associated "formal word" ending in "-mancer" that describes a mage with that focus. In addition, each focus has an associated emblem. At formal mage events, each mage wears the emblem noting their focus on their clothes, generally above their heart. A picture of all of the emblems is provided as such (click for larger):

The following table provides a list of the foci in order from the top-left clockwise from the top among those four, then the top-right clockwise from the top, then the bottom-left clockwise from the top, and finally the bottom-right, along with the formal name of that kind of mage.
